ABOUT ANNA

Anna developed a love for college counseling when she started the process herself in high school. A native of Atlanta, she was in the first graduating class at Atlanta Girls’ School. Currently, Anna is the Director of College Counseling at The New School (TNS) in Atlanta. Prior to TNS Anna lived in Brooklyn, New York where she started a college counseling program from the ground up at a math and science high school. She served over 400 students each year.

In each of the four years that Anna was the college counselor and counseling team lead, 100% of her students received college acceptances. She helped place her students in colleges where they were successful and flourished; many received full-tuition.

Anna has over nine years of experience as a high school counselor, college counselor, and in admissions work. Anna completed a certificate in College Advising through Teachers College, Columbia University. She received her M.S. in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from Mercer University and her B.S. in Counseling and Studio Art from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At Lesley she was a proud member of the cross country team.  Following graduation from Lesley she taught English and History at a boarding school, Schloss Neubeuern, near Munich, Germany. When she returned to the United States, Anna worked in admissions for her Alma Mater.
